ISHA Awards

ISHA has a number of awards to promote and recognise excellence in hip preservation. The winners are announced at the Annual Scientific Meeting each year.

ISHA Trainee Awards

The ISHA Trainee Awards Programme – currently comprising The Richard Villar Award for Excellence in Clinical Research and The Joseph C McCarthy Basic Research Award – is committed to recognising and honouring young researchers whose work has contributed to better understanding and communication within the field of Hip Preservation.

The ISHA Trainee Awards were created with the intention to stimulate and reward younger researchers who contribute high-quality data and presentations. Thus, residents and fellows with a study related to hip preservation are encouraged to apply for this award. Winners must have had their abstract accepted and given an oral presentation thereof at the Annual Scientific Meeting in the relevant year.

ISHA Physiotherapist Awards

ISHA also wishes to acknowledge and honour the work of physiotherapists who have contributed their important work in the fields of hip preservation and rehabilitation for inclusion in the scientific programme.

Accepted physiotherapy abstract submissions are evaluated by reviewers during the Annual Scientific Meeting and awards for Best Physiotherapy Oral Presentation and Best Physiotherapy EPoster Presentation are presented at the Closing Session.

How to Apply

Applicants should express their interest by sending an email with CV and proof of trainee status to info@ishaconference.com during the abstract submission period, i.e. by the end of April for consideration at the Annual Scientific Meeting later that year.
